Shook, Inc. Franklin App. No. 03AP-269, 2004-Ohio-1408. This cause is pending before the court as an appeal from the Court of Appeals for Franklin County. Upon consideration of the joint motion to reschedule oral argument currently scheduled for March 8, 2005, IT IS ORDERED by the court that the motion to reschedule oral argument be, and hereby is, denied. 2004-2088. Moss v. Bush. On Petition to Contest Election. This cause originated in this court on the filing of a petition to contest an election under R.C. 3515.08. Upon review of the motion for leave of John Conyers, Jr., member of Congress, to file as amicus curiae in support of contestors' counsel, and the motion for admission pro hac vice of Sampak P. Garg by Robert J. Fitrakis for amicus curiae U.S. Rep. John Conyers, Jr., IT IS ORDERED that the motions are granted and that amicus curiae John Conyers, Jr., may file a memorandum in response to the motion for sanctions within 10 days of the date of this entry. Moyer, C.J., In Chambers. DISCIPLINARY CASES 2004-0790. In re Resignation of Cittadino. IT IS ORDERED by this court, sua sponte, that Mary Elizabeth Cittadino, Attorney Registration No. 0074458, last known business address in West Chester, Ohio, is found in contempt for failure to comply with this court's order of August 9, 2004, to wit: failure to surrender attorney registration card, surrender Certificate of Admission, and file affidavit of compliance on or before September 8, 2004. 2004-1374. Disciplinary Counsel v. Blaszak. On application for reinstatement of James L. Blaszak, Attorney Registration No. 0018800. Application granted. MISCELLANEOUS DISMISSALS 2004-0144. State v. Willis. Cuyahoga App. No. 82313, 2003-Ohio-6329. This cause is pending before the court as an appeal from the Court of Appeals for Cuyahoga County. It appears from the records of this court that appellant has not filed a merit brief, due January 31, 2005, in compliance with the Rules of Practice of the Supreme Court and therefore has failed to prosecute this cause with the requisite diligence. Upon consideration thereof, IT IS ORDERED by the court that this cause be, and hereby is, dismissed sua sponte. 2004-1945. State ex rel. Rittner v. Dennis. Williams App. No. WM-04-009, 2004-Ohio-5679. This cause is pending before the court as an appeal from the Court of Appeals for Williams County. It appears from the records of this court that appellant has not filed a merit brief, due January 28, 2005, in compliance with the Rules of Practice of the Supreme Court and therefore has failed to prosecute this cause with the requisite diligence. Upon consideration thereof, IT IS ORDERED by the court that this cause be, and hereby is, dismissed sua sponte. MISCELLANEOUS ORDERS The Supreme Court of Ohio has issued orders imposing sanctions upon one hundred ninety-five attorneys and judges for noncompliance with the provisions of Gov.Bar R. X and Gov.Jud. R. IV. The text of the entry imposing the sanction is reproduced below. This is followed by a list of the attorneys and judges who were sanctioned. The list includes each attorney's or judge's Attorney Registration Number; the county and state of residence and the county and state of the attorney's or judge's employer, as last registered with the Attorney Registration Section; and the amount of the sanction fee imposed by the Supreme Court. In re Report of the Commission on : Continuing Legal Education. : : O R D E R [Attorney Name] : [Filed February 3, 2005] 2 02-03-05 [(#Registration Number)], : Respondent. : This matter originated in this court on the filing of a report by the Commission on Continuing Legal Education (the "commission") pursuant to Gov.Bar R. X(6)(A)(1)(b) and (2)(d). The commission recommended the imposition of sanctions against certain attorneys and judges, including the above-named respondent, for failure to comply with the applicable continuing legal education provisions of Gov.Bar R. X and Gov.Jud. R. IV, for the 2002-2003 reporting period. On November 22, 2004, pursuant to Gov.Bar R. X(6)(B)(1), this court issued to the respondent an order to show cause why the recommended sanction should not be adopted by the court and an order so entered against the respondent. Pursuant to the order to show cause, respondent has tendered payment in the amount of the recommended sanction, in lieu of filing objections. Upon consideration thereof, IT IS ORDERED by the court that the sanction of [Sanction Amount] is hereby imposed upon the respondent and payment of the sanction is acknowledged. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED by the court that this Order shall not be considered a disciplinary order pursuant to Gov.Bar R. V or Gov.Bar R. X(6)(H). IT IS FURTHER ORDERED by the court that the Clerk shall send this order by certified mail to the respondent at the address registered with the Attorney Registration Section under Gov.Bar R. VI; that, if this order is returned as undeliverable or unclaimed, the Clerk shall send it by regular mail; and that service of this order in accordance with the foregoing shall be deemed effective service. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that, payment of the sanction notwithstanding, respondent shall comply with the requirements imposed by Gov.Bar R. X for the 2002- 2003 reporting period. See CLE Reg. 503.4.
