Volusia County Canvassing Board, 707 So. 2d 720 (1998) -iv- ARGUMENT Appellees, Nassau County Canvassing Board, and the Honorable Robert E. Williams, Supervisor of Elections, Shirley N. King, individually and as Supervisor of Elections, Commissioner Marianne Marshall, and Commissioner David Howard, in their official capacities as members of the Nassau County Canvassing Board, assert that, pursuant to State Statute, they are a body charged with certain matters pertaining to the November 7, 2000, Presidential election. The Nassau County Canvassing Board and the Supervisor of Elections acted within substantial compliance of the Statutory provisions. See Beckstrom v. Volusia County Canvassing Board, 707 So. 2d 720 (1998). Accordingly the Nassau County Canvassing Board respectfully requests that the Court affirm that portion of the lower Court's Order which states that it acted properly and did not abuse its discretion.
