Default how do you gain clientele as a process server

I'm licensed and bonded and I know what I'm doing on the job, the problem is I can't seem to find any work. I'm trying to start up my own process serving company, I've printed mailers, business cards, you name. I've mass mailed them, hand delivered them, made phone calls as well and still not a single job. What do you guys do to find work. Im in the Orange County CA area if that helps in any way.

Cold calling. Set up meetings with office managers. Go door to door. Once you get a few clients, if you are good, the rest after that will be referrals.

thanks for the advice, problem is that's what I've been doing and it's not working. Everyone I've called already has a server and aren't looking for new ones.

No offense, but you probably lack sales skills. Consider getting some help with it.

how exactly do I lack sales skills? What makes you even say something lie that if you've never heard any kind of sales pitch? Do you think I'm just calling up firms saying "do you need a process server?" I call various companies, introduce myself, ask them if they're happy with the servers they have, see if I can meet with them and discuss services and pricing etc.

Hey relax. You asked how to get clients. I told you how most of us do it. You say you have done that with no results. If it works for us and not for you, it is reasonable to assume what I said. If you take offense, my apologies. I was trying to help. I don't know what else to tell you.

...I would consider the following:

1) is your market saturated with Process Servers; and
2) are your prices in line with the competition?
