Court Reporter War Stories

I'm a court reporter and I posted on another forum seeking help with audio taped depositions held on an island in that has no court reporters and uses transcribers for lack of any other option. I've received some great responses and have a couple reporters that are slow helping me right now.
I've run into a curious situation and wanted advice: I emailed 3-4 times with one CSR, I sent her a past transcripts, gave her the password to my iomega website, a caption, names/addresses, word list, etc., and then at the very end found out she's not on Eclipse as my request stated. Due to the rush nature of these files, I said I wouldn't have the time to attempt to convert them right now. I think I told her I could use her in a week or so for future jobs. I told her my best friend worked for these attorneys.
Today my friend in Saipan forwarded me an email she received from this particular reporter soliciting my clients for future transcription work and asked them to also pass her name and email address around the island. What is everyone's opinion on this and is there anything I should do?

Oh bad situation! And I don't know if there is anything that you can do about it.

I would say don't use her anymore and pass her name around to your friends that do the same kind of work so they don't get burned. You never want to use someone that tries to steal your clients. I'm sure there's nothing that can be done about it but I would tell her it was not appreciated - the way she handled the whole thing!

Im all for civil rights and all...but I dont see the problem with this law. Just dont be openly gay. Problem solved.

Because I can see how it might disturb other soldiers if they find out.
