Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, we are an international
private investigations company with resident agents in numerous US
cities, and in over 70 countries worldwide. Formed in 1960
by former FBI agents, our firm is a private full-service agency presently
staffed by former police detectives and government agents, as well
as current police department detectives who assist us off-duty. In
addition, our organization includes numerous professional investigators
with expertise in the various fields necessary to ensure that both
large- and small-scale investigations can be conducted without leaving
any aspect unchecked. By coordinating the work of field operatives,
specialists and research professionals, our operations managers prepare
comprehensive and thorough reports to provide our clients with reliable
facts so that they can make informed decisions.
The Business of Private Investigations
Prior to commencing work, we discuss the situation
in depth with our clients in order to gather all available information
necessary to prepare the proper approach and develop a suitable
plan of action. Often times, projects may require input from
the full Indiana-based staff, thus permitting us to draw upon an
assortment of experiences from many different investigators within
the company. This team approach allows for the development
of solutions which are scalable, flexible and result-oriented. When
necessary, we also consult with our overseas operatives in matters
of an international scale.
After obtaining the client’s approval to proceed, the appropriate
specialists and investigators are given their assignments. When
the initial reports are relayed to the client, recommendations
will be provided. Many times, the information revealed may
result in the client’s request and authorization for additional
investigation. In such circumstances, our worldwide network
of private detectives and highly-skilled specialists has been our
strength. Our operation permits the investigations to evolve
through multiple stages of case development, and even overseas,
if necessary. Unlike many others in our field, we are international,
and not limited to conducting private investigations near our company’s
home base in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Each of our clients is unique and brings with them a special situation
to be investigated that might include any number of variables which
could require one or more methods of investigation. Thus,
in order to simplify options for our clients’ purposes, we
have categorized the general types of services we offer: Legal, Forensic, Insurance, Corporate, Private,
and Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM).
Clients generally find that the types of services they request
may include more than one specific investigative method in its
general category, and they may also want to try methods from other
categories of service. For instance, a company experiencing
a significant loss of product may inquire with us regarding our
Corporate Services with anticipation of conducting an investigation
using methods such as “undercover
operatives” and “security
surveys”, but then also find they would benefit
from one of our Forensic Services, like “forensic
computer investigation” or "forensic
accounting and auditors".

Investigator Training courses
With over 47 years as a detective agency, International Investigators,
Inc. has trained a significant portion of private investigators
practicing across the country by providing on-the-job training. Because
a number of individuals have been unable to actually commit to
full-time employment as a private investigator, we are now fulfilling
the requests of many by currently offering training courses
which enable students to become familiar with our industry and
gain an understanding of what is involved before actually changing
careers. We have been told by students from our university
course that such training was effective in making them feel more
prepared before stepping into the role of private investigator. International
Investigators, Inc. is excited to now be able to reach a greater
number of interested individuals by offering private investigator
training to people who are not enrolled as university students.
